Cookie Policy
Effective date: 18 August 2026 · Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. Who this policy covers
This Cookie Policy applies to www.chinglink.com and its English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese mirrors, operated by Chinglink Business Limited (CR 75604219), RM 1921, 19/F, Star House, 3 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit, recognise your browser on return visits, and (for third-party cookies) let other companies — such as Google, Meta or LinkedIn — recognise your browser across sites.
We also use similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage) that behave like cookies for the purposes of this policy; references to “cookies” below cover all of them.
3. Cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Can you decline? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site working — security, load balancing, remembering cookie consent choices, and (where used) the on-site payment checkout session | Session and consent-state cookies | No — required for the site to function |
| Analytics | Understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it | Google Analytics (_ga, _gid and related cookies) | No dedicated control on this site — block via your browser settings (see Section 5) |
| Marketing / advertising | Measure and improve the effectiveness of our marketing, including retargeting | Meta (Facebook) Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag | No dedicated control on this site — block via your browser settings (see Section 5) |
| Chat widget | Let the WhatsApp click-to-chat button on the site function, and pass basic context (e.g. which page you were on) when you start a conversation | WhatsApp Business embed | Partially — declining may mean the button opens WhatsApp without page context |
We do not run other analytics or advertising tools beyond the above. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the new tool goes live.
4. Third-party cookies
Google, Meta and LinkedIn set their own cookies through the tools above and process the resulting data under their own privacy policies:
- Google — policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta — www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
- LinkedIn — www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
We do not control how these third parties use data once collected through their cookies. See our Privacy Policy for how we use the data ourselves.
5. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block cookies from specific sites, block third-party cookies entirely, or clear cookies on close. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (including checkout) from working.
To opt out of specific tools:
- Google Analytics: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Meta Pixel: adjust ad preferences at www.facebook.com/ads/preferences, or use your browser/device's tracking controls
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: adjust advertising data settings at www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls (or under Settings & Privacy → Advertising data if you have a LinkedIn account)
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
